Peace Project

The Peace Project is a line of coffees that supports communities in Colombia working to rebuild their lives after years of conflict and reliance on illicit crops. These producers, many of whom are victims of violence or former members of armed groups, are now turning to sustainable coffee farming as a way to create a more stable and hopeful future.

 

Transitioning from conflict zones and illegal economies is no small feat - it requires training, support, and opportunities for economic reintegration. Coffee plays a vital role in this transformation, offering a legitimate livelihood and a way to restore dignity through skilled, meaningful work.

 

At Costal, we’ve partnered with cooperatives connected to United Nations programmes to source coffee from small family farms in these areas. Our work helps these producers gain access to international markets and secure a reliable income, encouraging long-term investment in their communities.

 

Looking ahead, we remain deeply committed to supporting peace-building efforts through coffee, continuing to strengthen relationships with these farmers and contributing to a more sustainable, inclusive future for Colombia.
